The ICA is proud to announce the opening of Illinois' newest rock climbing destination, Pere Marquette State Park on November 21st, 2016. Located just outside the lively town of Grafton, Pere Marquette offers highly featured Limestone formations great for climbing. The ICA has spent almost two years working with The Illinois Department of Natural Resources to sanction the development of climbing in the park. Under the guidance of the park superintendent, the ICA has installed stairs, trails, and safety anchors into the cliff face including sport climbing routes and anchors for traditional climbs.

With this being the first time a state park has asked the ICA to develop it's climbing, safety and sustainability are top priorities and we wish to set the bar high. After extensive research only one option came clear for bolting the Limestone, Titanium. So never done before, Pere Marquette will be the first Midwestern crag to only be bolted with Titan "Eterna" Titanium bolts!

The ICA to date his installed bolts on 51 routes and hope to have 60 routes in place by the end of the project. Thank you for your donations that have made this project possible.
